UFC is heading back to Nashville Tennessee where native son Ovince Saint Preux takes on former light heavyweight challenger Glover Teixeira. In addition we'll also see an intriguing match up between Michael Johnson and Beneil Dariush, as well as podcast favorite Sam Alvey returns with a big smile and probably some ad tanned onto his body. Lots to break down so why waste time and let's just get right to it.
Glover Teixeira vs Ovince Saint Preux

This could prove to be an interesting match up. OSP has had a pretty decent run since joining the UFC, winning six of his seven fights last fights. Most of those wins were either by KO or submission as well. Glover on the other hand is coming off of two losses which were against much more well established and proven fighters Jon Jones and Phil Davis. This is a step up for OSP to see if he can hang with the upper tier of the division. Personally I'm going with OSP, the fight is a toss up as far as I'm concerned but I just have a good feeling about how much OSP has improved and I generally feel like he has more ways to win this fight. OSP by crazy 3rd round submission
Teixeira: Dr. Law
OSP: Kid P, Gooms, DJ Mark
Michael Johnson vs Beneil Daruish
Another tough fight to call. Both fighters are currently on four fight winning streaks and seem primed to enter the upper levels of the ultra competitive lightweight division. Both fighters are great wrestlers but tend to finish their fights differently. Johnson has improved his hands and has a handful of knockouts to his name, where as Dariush is more suited to take it to the mat and finish opponents off with submissions. I like Johnson in this one just because if the two can't get the fight to the ground, I think Johnson holds the power edge on the feet. Johnson by 2nd round KO
Johnson: Gooms, DJ Mark
Dariush: Dr. Law, Kid P
Derek Brunson vs Sam Alvey

There's no denying that Sam Alvey has won us all over with his big smile and warhammer like right hand. However, he'll have his hands full with Derek Brunson who's proven he can hang with some of the best UFC has to offer. This should be a competitive match up but I like Alvey in this one, maybe mostly because I literally just really like this guy. I think his Dan Henderson like right hand will be the difference maker. Alvey by right hand KO
Brunson: none
Alvey: all of us
Jared Rosholt vs Timothy Johnson
Not going to lie, I'm not familiar with Timothy Johnson. I do, however, know Rosholt and while he's not always a fan friendly fighter due to his stylem he's still a capable fighter. I imagine Rosholt will get the win here the same way he mostly gets wins in MMA, taking his opponent down and controlling him from top position. Rosholt via decision
Rosholt: all of us
Johnson: none
Chris Camozzi vs Tom Watson
After being led to the slaughter by having to rematch Ronaldo Souza, Camozzi is getting a more evenly matched opponent this time around in Tom Watson. On paper this is a tough one to call, both guys are good overall fighters but for me I've seen Camozzi lose match ups where I thought he was a clear favorite. I wouldn't be surprised if Camozzi was able to pull off a win in this one, I'm just not willing to bet that he will. Watson by decision
Camozzi: Dr. Law, Gooms
Watson: Kid P, DJ Mark
Ray Borg vs Geane Herrea
I like Ray in this one, he has a good record and his sole loss was to a very tough Dustin Ortiz. I don't know Herrea, but if he is able to get the win here I'd be impressed and more likely to remember him next time. Borg by decision
Borg: all of us
Herrea:
