For the prelims we'll be giving our thoughts and opinions and once the main card starts I'll be giving you live play by play for each fight. You're already in the right place, keep it locked in right here for all of tonight's Bellator action.
Nick Pica vs Diego Herzog
Round 1
Short fight here, early on it seemed like Nick was the better of the two striking, after a low blow from Diego Nick eats a big punch and gets dropped, Diego followed up and Big John called it. Might have been a little early but it didn't seem like Nick was all there after Big John stopped it.
Justin Baesman vs. James Terry
Round 1
Decent first round, James was in control for the most part. The stand up was fairly even but then James scored a big take down and controlled the rest of the round from side mount. Landed a few decent elbows and got Justin in a crucifix but wasn't able to hold the position for long.
Round 2
Justin came out throwing kicks, James was able to walk him against the cage, came in with a fast three punch combo into a double leg on the cage. Justin stopped it for a little while but James was able to switch from a double to a single to get the take down into half guard. Moved to side mount but Justin was able to get back up. James quickly scored another single leg. Justin was able to get up again but James shot a double and got a big take down at the end of the round. All James Terry so far.
Round 3
Justin came out swinging, knowing he's down 2-0. After some exchanges James takes Justin down again. Justin just doesn't have the energy or ability to get up easily. James has great control from side mount. James gets mount and starts to unload. Justin is able to buck and get back to his feet. James takes Justin down with a single leg off the cage. Good fight for James, was in control the vast majority of the fight.
James should easily get the judges decision, good performance.
Danasabe Mohammed vs Dwight Grant
Round 1
This ones been fun, both guys are standing and swinging. Grants been the more busy throwing multiple punches at a time. Grant dropped Mohammed with a huge clean right hand. Ref let Mohammed fight through and he survived the follow up. Mohammed gets back up but Grant continues to pressure and throw big punches. Mohammed gets dropped/fell again, Grant tries to score some big ground and pound but Mohammed survives. Great round for Grant and very fun to watch.
Round 2
Mohammed comes out pressuring and thows a big spinning kick but falls. Mohammed shoots a take down from the outside and gets Grant to the cage. Scores the take down and tries to pound on Grant, Grant is able to get back to his feet. Mohammed is pushing Grant against the cage trying to score a double leg. Grant defends by pushing on Mohammed's head and using a wizard. Grant continues to defend Mohammed's take down attempts. They get back to standing. Grant lands some decent strikes. Mohammed looks a little tired. Tough round to call, Grant landed some decent shots at the end of the round but Mohammed controlled the majority of the round.
Round 3
Both guys are standing and trading punches but neither is scoring anything significant. Both fighters seem tired but they aren't stopping. Grants lands another big right hand. Mohammed eats it and is still standing though his legs are wobbled. Grant pushes hard at the end of the round and probably got it from that big punch and pressure at the end of the round.
Justin Roswell vs Dominic Sumner
Round 1
Sumner comes out throwing but Roswell shoots and takes him down. Roswell has half guard and is working a guillotine choke. Roswell ends up back in the guard of Sumner. Gets to half guard again, Sumner gets up from half and Roswell goes for the guillontine again, Sumner gets out and lands a big kick to the body, Roswell turns his back and Sumner finishes it with a flurry of punches. Fun fight.
Carrington Banks vs Jake Roberts
Round 1
Both fighters are standing and feeling eachother out, Banks lands a huge punch and rocks Roberts, Banks flurries on him but Roberts avoids the big punches. Banks gets a double leg on Roberts and slams him on the gound. Roberts gets back to his feet but Banks has his back for a moment. Banks lands a big counter right hand and scores a take down.Banks tries to pass but Roberts defends. Roberts has a tricky guard. Banks gets to half guard but he has to fight to stay there. Roberts gets Bank back into guard. No damage is being done as Roberts is constantly re positioning, Banks gets Roberts back, Roberts turns back into side mount, then give his back again. Roberts gets back to his feet. Good round for Banks but Roberts showed a lot of heart and some good defensive skills off his back. Banks won the round.
Round 2
Robert takes center, throws some kicks. Banks throws a big over head punch. Roberts controlling the center. Banks starts to take center, throws some hard punches. Roberts is staying busy throwing combinations. Banks is counterstriking well while Roberts is happy to push the pace. Banks lands a big punch, Roberts is no longer taking the center. Banks is counting well with his right hand. Banks shoots but Roberts pushes it off. Banks really trying to time that counter right. Roberts taking center and controlling the tempo while Roberts tries to time that counter right. Much better round for Roberts. Tough one to call tho, Id give it to Banks but its really close.
Round 3
Roberts shoots but eats an uppercut after the shot was defended. Banks gets a takedown and is in the guard of Roberts. Roberts gets back to his feet. Banks gets Roberts back, but loses the clinch. Robert pressures Banks with punches and kicks but gets take down again. Robert is trying to get back to his feet and does. Big take down for Banks but Robert gets right back up. Banks goes for a double and gets it. Robert gets back to his knees and then standing again. Robert looks tired throwing punches now. Banks shoots and gets another take down. Robert works to his feet again. Banks gets it down again and controls the rest of the round. Banks should get the nod here but Roberts did well stayin in there.
Aaron Hamilton vs Kevin Ferguson Jr. (lil Kimbo)
Round 1
Hamilton takes the center, lil kimbo is getting walked down into the cage. lil kimbo throws a few punches and shoots a double and gets it. Ferguson is now in the guard. Hamilton is using a high guard threatening with a triangle. Hamilton turns it around, gets to his knees and takes lil kimbo down. Lil kimbo gets back up and scores another take down himself. Gets his back and is looking or a big punch, doesnt get it. Fight is back standing, lil kimbo throws a spinning fist and scores another take down. Hamilton goes for a leg lock but gets passed on. Lil kimbo gets side mount but loses it and Hamilton is on top. Ferguson gets on top again but lands an illegal knee. Fergusons starts throwing but gets counter hard, lil kimbo gets the takedown again tho to end the round.
Round 2
The two trade some big punches, lil kimdo tries another spinning back fist. Lil kimbo gets the fight down again and is working some good GnP, Hamilton is trying to get another leg lock but fails. Lil Kimbo is getting some good strikes in. Lil kimbo tries a choke but Hamilton gets out and puts Lil Kimbo in tight guillotine and finishes the fight. Fun fight.
Sarah D'Alelio vs Jaimelene Nievera
Round 1
Sarah comes in hard with a three punch combo, looks crisp. Jamie comes back after Sarah misses a low kick. They trade punches in the center. Sarah shots a double and gets a big double leg takedown. Sarah is in Jaime's guard. Sarah working some GnP, Jamie doesnt seem to have a lot of options off her back right now. Jamie gets up but Sarah gets her back down. Sarah is controlling the ground but isn't getting too much offensive going. Sarah gets into half guard. Jamie gets on top while Sarah tries a guillotine choke. Round ends
Round 2
Sarah looks crisp on her feet throwing punches, Sarah shots a double but fails, transitions to a bodylock take down and gets it. Sarah is working in the guard but gets up. Jamie gets her own body lock take down and is in Sarah's half guard. Sarah trying to work for a kimura, really working it and trying to get in the guard. Jamie is fighting it off, the arm pops out for a moment but Sarah can't finish, she has the arm but not in the best position to finish the lock. Sarah keeps trying to finish the kimura but just can't get it locked in. Sarah has her in the guard but Jamie keeps fighting it. Sarah switches to a armbar, might have it. Sarah erts on top, the armbar looks good and Sarah finishes the hold. Sarah by armbar.
MAIN CARD
Francis Carmont vs Linton Vassell
Round 1
Linton throws a low kick, Carmont returns the favor. They are trading low kicks in the center. Linton takes the center, Linton shots a bodylock and gets it. Goes straight to mount, vines the legs. Linton in complete control in the mount. Carmont tries to buck and move but Linton is locking him down. Carmont looks like he might give up his back. Linton back in the mount, Linton throws a little elbow, might be trying to go for a head and arm choke. Linton gets Carmont's back, has his body in a triangle lock, looking for the choke. Soften him up with some punches and continues to go for the rear naked choke. Linton in complete control, Carmont seems to just be looking to make it through this round. Linton tries hard for the choke, tries for a neck crank but Carmont fights through it. Linton takes the round 10-9
Round 2
They come out trading kicks again, Carmont shoots and gets the take down. Linton gives up his back to try and get back on his feet. Linton tries to stand up but gets taken back to the mat. Carmont riding his back now, Carmont going for the rear naked choke but can't get it locked in. Linton breaks the legs and is able to get on top. Linton goes for the back and gets it. Linton is riding Carmont with one hook in, goes for the choke again but nothing is locked in. Linton gets the body triangle again and is controlling Carmont. Linton is trying the choke but can't get his arms/hands in position to finish. Carmont is doing a good job fighting the choke. The crowd gets a little restless. Linton tries the choke again but the round ends. Linton might have been able to sneak that round away, Linton 10-9
Round 3
Carmont lands a nice low kick, they both throw overhead punches but some of the steam is off them now. Linton shoots in and clinches up against the cage. Linton get the tries to take Carmont down but Carmont gets right back up. They separate, Linton throws a few punches and clinches back up. Carmont tries to go for a kimura but Linton gets Carmont's back yet again. The fight is taking a pattern now, Linton takes the back but can't finish the fight. Linton tries some elbows from the back, interesting tech. Linton goes for the choke but Carmont's chin is tucked under, no go. Carmont gets back up, Carmont looks tired but throws a big over head punch that hits air. Carmont throwing hard but not hitting. Linton should take the round and the fight.
Sheila Padilla vs Keri Melendez
Round 1
The two come out throwing punches, Keri takes the center, stands to wlak her down towards the cage. Keri lands a massive straight punch, sends Shelia down, Keri follows up and its all over. Great debut for Keri Melendez, shit must run in the family.
Brandon Girtz vs Adam Piccolotti
Round 1
Girtz comes out and takes the center, both fighters are feeling each other. Adam circles on the outside and then takes center but eats a nice left. Adam shoots and lands a nice knee, and then another. Adam lands a nice kick, starting to get in his groove. Brandon throws big but misses, then he lands a nice left. Brandon using the lead left, adam throws a nice low kick. Adam is takng center and controlling the distance, timing. Brandon comes in like a bull throw big hands but coming up empty. Adam comes in with a punch, kick and clinch knee. Brandon throws mroe hard punches but cant find Adam, Adam lands a big knee, throws a bunch of kicks. Ends the round strong. Adam 10-9
Round 2
Brandon comes in throwing heavy again but still coming up empty. Adam doing a good job getting out of the way, controlling the free space. Adam uses aints and throws some body kicks, keeping Brandon guessing. Adam lands a counter left hand, lands a huge knee while Brandon was coming in. Adam taking center and walking down Brandon. Adam continues to get in and out before Brandon can land his big punches. Adam shoots in and gets the take down. Brandon tries to get up but gives up the back. Adam softens hin up but loses position. Nice inside low kick from Adam, Brandon lands a nice right hook. Adam throws a flying knee, gets some of it. Brandon just can't get the distant down. Adam 10-9
Round 3
Brandon looks ready to push it this round, rushes in with heavy punches again but still cant land. Brandon lands a nice left strike. Brandon is now taking the center, trying to counter. Adam shots inbut Brandon pushes it off, throws a couple heavy hands. Brandon doing better this round, letting Adam come to him and trying to counter. Adam staying light on his feet, continuing to not be there when Brandon rushes in. Brandon lands a nice straight, rushes Adam hard and gets a big take down. Adam working the guard, hes good off his back but Brandon is passing and lands a nice elbow. Adam goes for a knee bar. Brandon seems okay for now, Brandon gets on top, starts to throw heavy punches. Adam gives up the submission. Brandon doing great this round, landing heavy strikes from the top. Brandon 10-9.
Really good fight and a strong showing from Adam.
Fernando Gonzalez vs Michael Page
Round 1
Page takes the center, the reach advantage is very real. Page has walked Gonzalez down to the cage. Page comes in but Gonzalez throws a high kick that misses. Page throws a hard kick, is blocked. Page showing off the feet work. Page show boating, hands down, waiting for Gonzalez to come at him... bro. Lots of staring at eachother, but not much output yet. Page faints, keeps Gonzalez guessing. Page controlling the distance but still not throwing. Page throws a lead right. Page spins, but throws nothing. The crowd is restless, Gonzalez comes in with a kick. Gonzalez continues to circle away. Page with a nice jab, This crowd is restless for action they aren't getting. Lots of faints and then a big spinning kick that doesn't land at the end of the round. Not a great round but I'd give it to Page.
Round 2
A little more action this round, more strikes being throw by both sides but nothing lands. Page show boats some more trying to make Gonzalez come forward. Gonzalez now taking center, walking him down, but page still gun shy to throw the big strikes. Page throws a punch and slips, Gonzalez tries to capitalize but can't land anything big. More taunts from Page and the crowd hates it. Gonzalez is taking center but isn't attacking either. And here comes the Boos. Nice jab from Page, lots of faints but still little strikes being thrown. Nice right straight from Page. Big flying knee from Page at the end of the round but another mostly uneventful round. Page 10-9
Round 3
Page throws a spinning kick and Gonzalez ducks under and tries a takedown but can't complete it. They clinch on the cage. Gonzalez has double underhooks, controlling the clinch. Nice upper from Gonzalez, they seperate, nice jab from Page. Gonzalez pressures Page but nothing lands, Gonzalez continues to walk him down and Page moves side to side, the ref stops the fights and tells them to pick up the pace. Gonzalez tries to land punches against the cage but Page dances away. Gonzalez gets the clinch and pushes Page against the cage. Gonzalez tries a trip but fails, the crowd is booing, actually they kinda never stopped. Last ten seconds, nothing happens. Gonzalez 10-9.
Kinda think Page will get the nod, but its close since most of the time nothing was happening the vast majority of the fight.
Benson Henderson vs Michael Chandler
Round 1
Chandler takes center and walks down Benson. Benson circles around, avoiding Chandler's right. They exchange punches. Benson with a high kick and trips, Chandler walks Benson down again. Benson with a nice jab, Chandler with a big uppercut lands, Chandler with more big shots, Benson knocked down to his knees. HUGE FUCKING GERMAN SURPLEX, damn that was sick. Tries a choke, Benson gets out. Chandler with big shots on the ground, Benson with some hard up kicks, Chandler tries a choke but Benson has no give, these guys are throwing down. Benson gets Chandlers back standing. Benson with some knees.

Round 2
Benson opens up with a hard low kick, Chandler with a hard ass body kick. Benson circles they trade punches. Benson with a nice knee, Benson with a high kick, starting to come alive now. Chandler comes forward with some punches. I hard one two from Benson, tea kick and right hand from Chandler. Benson shots after a missed punch from Chandler. Chandler walks him down again, Benson with a low blow. Benson seems to have a lot left in the tank still. Benson throwing and fainting a lot of kicks. Chandler comes forward with a big punch, Benson with a body punch. Chandler looks to be breathing heavy. Benson cuz when its this close he ALWAYS gets the round 10-9
Round 3
Benson comes out throws some hard kicks to the body. Big kick Benson lands to the body, Benson being more active. Benson goes for the take down but can't complete it, eats a big body kick from Chandler. Benson has Chandler clinched on the cage. Chandler lands a sneaky left hook, Benson misses a big left, Benson lands a body kick, lands a head kick, Chandler tries a guillotine again, Benson won't tap. Chandler settles for a take down. Chandler has Benson's back. Benson turns in and is in the sprawl position. Benson trying a single leg Chandler defends and throws some punches. Chandler tries a single leg, cant get it. Round ends. Chandler 10-9
Round 4
Chandler comes forward is more aggressive, throwing more strikes and then gets a big double, tries to slam Benson but doesnt get much of an impact. Benson tries a kimura but slips out, Chandler on top. Benson throwing little strikes from bottom. Big elbow from Chandler, Benson trying to get up. Chandler gets his back, Benson gets up, Chandler clinches against the cage, Benson hits a knee but then gets taken down. Benson pops back up. Benson tries a kimura again but Chandler slips out again. Chandler just out wrestling Benson right now. Benson tries angling on the bottom to get back up, Benson back to his feet, Chandler cluches against the cage. Chandler goes for a single, Benson throws hard elbows, Benson tries to go for a choke is close but doesnt have the right positon. Tough round to call, Benson 10-9????
Round 5
Benson gets nice jab in to start the round, Benson throwing punches and landing some. Benson thrownig punches and Chandler is throwing back but Benson is mroe active. Benson looks to have more in the tank this round. Benson scores a jab then a bodt shot, Big kick into a take down for Benson, Benson gets his back, Chandler fights the choke. Chandler turns into Benson gets on top. Benson is trying to stand up. The crowd is behind Benson, Chandler still pressuring for a take down off the cage. Benson might get his back again, Chandler holds onto the single and tries to lift Benson. Benson going for a switch, Benson lands some hammer fist on Chandler. Chandler stilling going for the single leg. They are i a stalemate right now, Chandler is getting closer to finishing the take down, Bensond fights it, lands hammer fist. Chandler is like a dog with that leg, he won't give it up. Benson lands a nice knee, Chandler stands, the fight ends.
Super close, I don't know, I think Chandler won but with Benson I'm almost always wrong.
